Have a radical and lovely weekend folks!

HW due Monday:

You have only one assignment due on Monday (and we worked on it in class this morning and afternoon):

1. Mt. Tabor field study responses
...Complete Essential Question... Consider what you know about Mt. Tabor based off our field study and how you know it. Provide specific examples from our day (consider the Geology of Mt. Tabor handout, the Cinder Cone cross - section, and other activities we did) and share connections and observation
...Complete assignment questions ... These can be answered however you want (if you are tired of writing, record yourself sharing your thinking, use images/captions, or make a video... anything words for assignment questions!)

I will list both the itinerary (with the questions) and the basic rubric at the bottom of this post

A message from Alexa Pearson, our Assistant Principal Extraordinaire:

Hello parents and guardians,

Upcoming extra-curricular service learning opportunities are starting to be announced and shared with students during middle-school Morning Meeting.   Earlier this week, the Children's Trust Climate Change Hearing in Eugene, this next Tuesday Sept. 13, was announced as a potential service opportunity.  Given that this takes place during school hours on a regular school day, coupled with an overwhelming amount of student interest, Sunnyside cannot provide or coordinate transportation for the event.  Students that are interested should communicate with their parents and arrange their own transportation and parent-excused absence from the school day.
Information on the event can be found here:
