Term 3 Service Reflection due Wednesday, April 11th: Service Reflection Graphic Organizer + Rubric
... Make sure you also have the evidence of your service (parent signature, picture from the event, email from the organization, etc...). Also, if you want me to print your reflection make sure you have sent it to me before 8:30 tomorrow morning.

We will be doing SBAC testing tomorrow from 9:30 -10:30.

Welcome back to Portland 4-H Urban-Rural Exchange folks! I can't wait to hear about your experience!!! Take your time to reconnect with your families and rest this evening. Show up ready to jump back into school world tomorrow. We will check in on what you need to do from what you missed while you were gone. Folks who were on the 4-H Exchange will have their Term 3 Service Reflections will be due by the end of the day Thursday. 

There is a garden service opportunity with Step tomorrow after school from 3:15 - 4:30. Meet at her office in the back of the auditorium.

Human Rights + Refugee Unit - Taking Action Presentations
Presentations will be happening Tuesday, April 10th, Thursday, April 12th, Tuesday, April 17th, and Thursday, April 19th, and Tuesday, April 24th. We will set up a plan for which date you will share tomorrow in school.

2. Smarter Balanced ELA Testing 9:15 - 10:30... Come well-rested, fed, and ready to give your best engagement and effort
3. Work on your Term 3 Service Reflection for 21 minutes

We will not be travelling on Thursday. We will have one hour that day to work on study hall, 8th grade portfolio, 7th grade speeches, or choice reading. We will also be using that morning to address concerns about our core class community engagement and respect during specials.

1. Mudbone Grown Unity Farm

...Come prepared to get muddy and wet for our field study tomorrow. Bring appropriate clothing, a lunch, water, and a positive attitude. We are leaving right at 9, so make sure you are on time to school tomorrow.

...We are going to be focusing on the "cabbage" family. Bring in three facts about the cabbage vegetable family tomorrow.

HW due Friday, April 6th: You should have completed your Human Rights + Refugee Unit - Taking Action by this Friday. We will spend Friday in class working on the final steps to this assignment (you just have to make sure you have finished your action by that day or set up an alternative plan with Michael). If you have no idea what you are going to do, spend some time with this assignment (Human Rights + Refugee Unit - Taking Action ... there are millions of options and links on the second page) and consider what makes the most sense for you.
